Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is one of the top signal-callers in the second tier of the 2014 NFL Draft, but there is at least one former NFL talent evaluator that believes Garoppolo could be a first day pick.

Bill Polian, who is currently working with ESPN, believes that Garoppolo will be a first-round pick.

Last season, Garoppolo led the FCS in passing with 5,050 yards and won the Walter Payton Award as the best player in FCS. He was a standout player in the East-West Shrine Game and Senior Bowl, which began his climb up draft boards.

Garoppolo has been taking every opportunity to impress scouts and prove that he belongs in the discussion as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2014 draft class, so it will be interesting to see if any other teams view him as highly as the former Indianapolis Colts GM.
