Paul George scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists to lead a balanced Indiana Pacers’ effort that saw seven players score in double figures as the Pacers cruised to a 118-98 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at Bankers’ Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana Tuesday night.

The other six players to score in double figures were George Hill, who finished with 14 points; Lance Stephenson, who scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds; Evan Turner, who had 13 points, six rebounds and two assists in his Pacers’ debut; David West, who finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds; C.J. Watson, who scored 11 and Roy Hibbert, who put up 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.

It looked like the Pacers may run the Lakers off of the court early on, but the Lakers quickly closed the gap and trailed by just three at the half. In the third quarter, the Pacers took over, outscoring the Lakers 34-16 in the period, including a 17-4 to close out the quarter.

Kent Bazemore scored 23 points to lead the Lakers while Wesley Johnson added 15 and Pau Gasol and Jodie Meeks scored 13 apiece.

The Pacers improve to 43-13 and the Lakers fall to 19-38.
