The NBA offseason will be upon many teams in no time and one of those teams are the Los Angeles Lakers. After being staples in the postseason, the Lakers appear destined for a high lottery pick and some serious changes to the roster.

One name who has been rumored to be leaving for a long time is Pau Gasol, but he survived yet another trade deadline without being moved. But it appears the Spanish big man will be on the move by his own will and Sam Amico from FOX Sports reports that the Memphis Grizzlies could be the beneficiaries of his travels away from Los Angeles.

"Kobe Bryant is likely the only one who can convince Gasol to stay in LA. If not, Gasol would love a return to Memphis, but the Grizzlies aren’t exactly big spenders."

A return to the Lakers is not out of the question, but it’s long been known that Gasol hates Mike D’Antoni’s system and doesn’t feel very appreciated by management. He may end up coming back for Kobe but it won’t be cheap and it probably won’t be pretty either.
