Left tackle Branden Albert’s departure from the Kansas City Chiefs has been just a matter of time. He wanted out last season and it looks like a market has emerged for him with the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Arizona Cardinals all interested in him.

From the Barry Jackson of Miami Herald:

"Heard this morning from a league source that the Dolphins plan to pursue Chiefs impending free agent left tackle Branden Albert in free agency. But they’ll have competition. Arizona and Tampa Bay also are believed to have interest, and Kansas City hasn’t ruled out re-signing him.Joe Philbin wanted the Dolphins to pursue a trade for Albert last spring, but Jeff Ireland didn’t want give up a high draft pick.…word has gotten out around the league about Miami’s interest."

Miami being interested makes a lot of sense given the state of their offensive line. Looking to part ways with multiple linemen in the wake of the bullying case they need to reload and Albert would be a good start for the Dolphins.
