The San Francisco 49ers had a few priorities coming into the offseason, one of which was re-signing impending free agent wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

The two sides have been in negotiations for a few weeks now and reports suggest they’re nearing completion of a deal.

Things are getting so close, in fact, that financial figures are being thrown around and Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee believes Boldin will get a deal that pays him around $6 million dollars annually. The lone question is for how many years?

"Expect the money in Anquan Boldin’s deal to be similar to the three-year, $17.5M deal Reggie Wayne got in 2012. Question is 2 or 3 years."

It’s a relatively fair market price for Boldin – not exactly a discount but not an overpay on San Francisco’s part either.

No deal has officially been signed as Barrow’s financial figure is only an educated guess, but it does appear the two sides are getting close given everything we’ve heard in recent days.
