The Dallas Mavericks survived a late New York Knicks‘ rally on a game-winning shot by Dirk Nowitzki at the buzzer that gave the Mavericks a 110-108 victory on Monday night at Madison Square Garden.

In the game, veteran Vince Carter hit seven three-pointers and was the Mavericks’ leading scorer with 23 points.

However, that wasn’t what Carter will be remembered for. Instead, the discussion has revolved around Knicks’ guard J.R. Smith pulling down Carter’s head band, which you can watch here.

On Wednesday, Carter discussed the play.

“It didn’t bother me,” Carter said after the Mavericks’ shootaround via Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News. “I hear everybody making a big deal about it, but he didn’t pull it over my eyes where I couldn’t see or play the game, so it wasn’t a big deal. But I know because it’s him, it’s an issue. He didn’t want me to make any more shots. It was just funny to me.”

Good to see Carter didn’t let it bother him.
