When Ichiro Suzuki joined the Seattle Mariners, the former All-Star outfielder was a treasure to watch.

Now in the twilight of his career as a member of the New York Yankees, Suzuki’s skills have obviously fallen off – despite the occasional flash of greatness.

Still – Ichiro’s greatness shouldn’t be forgotten – nor should his impressive arsenal of trick throws.

Thanks to a user on Reddit, here we have Ichiro (during his Seattle/Japanese league days) showing off some unique throws.

The first features Ichiro standing near home plate with two baseballs. He throws one in the air, getting a hefty amount of loft, then quickly throws another just moments after. The second throw is more of a line drive which he uses to knock off a garbage can lid, allowing the firs throw to fall in the basket.

As if that wasn’t enough, moments later Ichiro stands near second base with four baseball bats standing up near home plate. Ichiro whiffs on his first take, but on the second drills every single bat before the video comes to an end.
