The Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat are all gunning for the same prize at the moment. No, it’s not an NBA title — although that’s the reasoning behind their current race — rather it’s the services of Caron Butler that the three teams covet after news that the veteran forward was bought out by the Milwaukee Bucks was officially announced.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Bulls, Heat and Thunder are all at the to of the list to land Butler but the Spurs are hanging back there too as well.

Miami has been connected to Butler in recent days with it appearing that they favor their 2002 draft pick over the likes of the recently bought out Danny Granger. Chicago said in the last 24 hours that they’re willing to make moves in the buyout market and the Thunder have been looking for depth as far back as the trade deadline.

All three options make sense, but Butler will only land with one.
