With Jimmer Fredette about to hit free agency, there are teams around the NBA looking at whether or not he’s an option that fits with their team. One team that could look Jimmer’s way are the Cleveland Cavalier, but they’re far from a lock.

According to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal, the Cavs are looking injuries to C.J. Miles and Dion Waiters before making a decision on Jimmer, but his addition seems unlikely.

Per Lloyd:

"Part of the Cavs’ decision whether to pursue him is the status of Waiters and Miles. If either or both are expected to miss an extended period of time, the Fredette option becomes more viable. But the team won’t really have a feel for their status until they are re-examined on Thursday and I get the impression they’ll be back sooner rather than later."

Jimmer looks to have the tools to be an explosive offensive option in the right scheme, and the question is would that scheme be Mike Brown’s? He’s drawing mild interest on the free agent market but Jimmer will find a home that suits his skills.

That home just probably won’t be in Cleveland.
