The Chicago Bears are coming off of one of their worst defensive years in franchise years. This past season looked like the Monsters of the Midway label was passed onto their high powered offense.

As a Chicago Bears fan, it pleases me to finish that last sentence. But this defense really needs to turn it around going into the 2014 campaign. We all know how many injuries this defense has suffered, which resulted in guys making terrible reads and displaying horrible tackling techniques.

Usually this team would be looking to improve their offensive line or offense in general with their first round picks, but that won’t be the case this year. When May’s (weird saying this) NFL Draft rolls around, I expect the Bears to either select a defensive tackle or corner-back with their first selection.

Right now Charles Tillman‘s future with the Chicago Bears is up in the air. Last year this team suffered at this position, first losing Kelvin Hayden to a torn left hamstring for the entire year, then Tillman later on down the line.

Now according to CSN Chicago on Twitter, the Chicago Bears and corner-back Kelvin Hayden were able to agree on a one year deal.

Before Hayden was injured and shelved the entire year, he was entering camp as Chicago’s number one nickel back.

What do you think of the moves Bears fans?
