The NFL released the 2014 salary cap early on Friday evening, a figure that is the highest cap number to date with the expectation that it could be as much as $20 million dollars higher in two years. Later on Friday, the league announced the salary numbers for players who are slapped with the franchise or transition tags.

Breer has been all over the financial information today after the first to report the new salary cap figures and with a few players given the franchise tag earlier on Friday, notable New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham and Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy.
