Larry Fitzgerald: Cardinals match up well with Seahawks and 49ers
By Jack Crosby
It’s understandable, given the fact that they were matched up with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line this past January, that all of the focus in the NFC West is on the San Francisco 49ers and the World Champion Seattle Seahawks. But, what often gets overlooked is the fact that Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals had quite the nice campaign as well, even defeating the champs.
Finishing at 10-6 last season, the team was left out of the playoffs, showing just how competitive the division is. However, having to play those teams twice a year isn’t a huge concern according to Fitzgerald, who believes that he and his team are about on the same level as the big two.
"“That’s no problem. We match up very well with those teams, and we love playing against them,” Fitzgerald told USA Today’s Tom Pelissero."
While it is going to be difficult, Larry Fitz isn’t necessarily wrong with this sentiment as they did prove last year, in Seattle no less, that they are more than capable of hanging with the best the league has to offer.
