The Baltimore Ravens could use some new blood in their wide receivers corps which had led to ESPN.com’s Jamison Hensley suggesting Baltimore could be a potential landing spot for free agent Hakeem Nicks.

"And the Ravens could end up with someone like Hakeem Nicks at wide receiver, and again, I’m not sure that would classify as a “big” free agent. The biggest free-agent signing could come at center, if the Ravens can sign Browns Pro Bowl center Alex Mack."

While the New York Giants (Nicks’ former team) do have some interest in retaining their free agent, they aren’t going to pay much and are more than open to letting him test the market.

On the plus side – given Nicks’ down year in 2013 (and recent injury history) it’s very possible the Ravens could attempt to land Nicks on a one year ‘prove it’ deal, though Nicks likely wouldn’t be overly thrilled with such an offer.

Baltimore has nearly $30 million dollars in cap space, so they could certainly afford the wide receiver if they so inclined.
