The Miami Dolphins were supposed to come into last season hot off of an intense free agent period and a draft that saw them swing for the fences on a top defensive end prospect. But the losing and the bullying all brought the season crashing down quicker than expected, and that led to inevitable trade rumors.

With Jeff Ireland out as general manager and Dennis Hickey now in, there was a rumor from CBSSports that surfaced on Friday suggesting that the Dolphins were ready to blow the team up and trade Mike Wallace, Cameron Wake and Dion Jordan.

This sort of dysfunction makes sense, but it’s not true. A Dolphins source told Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald that the trade rumors were false and Wallace, Wake and Jordan will be back in 2014.

Miami has had a rough year and things are clearly not getting much better as a new season is set to start. Things will eventually turn around for the Dolphins and it appears that they’re going to try and fix things in 2014 with Wallace, Wake and Jordan all returning.
