When you want a portrait tattoo – few are better than famed artist Nikko Hurtado.

He proved why recently when he showed off a tattoo of Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson, which is needless to say, one of the most impressive color tattoo’s I’ve ever seen.

If Nikko’s name sounds familiar, that’s likely because it is. The tattoo artist has been featured on many television shows – a list which includes LA Ink, Tattoo Wars, Tori & Dean, and Spike TV’s Ink Master. That doesn’t even put a dent into his resume or clientele list however as he’s put pieces on Drake, The Game, Cheryl Cole, Fred Durst, Wale and many more.

Nikko didn’t say who he tattooed his Magic Johnson piece on, though did say it was a ‘great’ client of his.

Whomever it is, they have one bad ass tattoo of Magic.

You almost feel like you could touch Johnson’s jersey and feel fabric.

Wonderful job. Just a matter of time until somebody commissions Hurtado to do a Kobe Bryant ring piece.
