NBA Rumors: Carmelo Anthony suggets New York Knicks lack pride

It appears Carmelo Anthony‘s frustrations with the New York Knicks have hit another boiling point as the star forward ripped his team on Sunday evening.

After a drubbing at the hands of the Chicago Bulls, Melo lashed out, suggesting that the team lacks pride and the poor play is embarrassing.

“Without a doubt, it’s embarrassing. It’s frustrating, embarrassing,’’ Anthony said. “Teams win and lose night in, night out, but just the way we’re not approaching the game with a winning attitude … I’m rambling right now, but it’s frustrating and I don’t like to be embarrassed like that.

“At this point, there’s no answers to it. As a team, we got to have some sense of pride and just go out there and compete. It seems we’re not even competing right now. We have to do a much better job of just having a sense of pride.’’

While it may not have been the most proper thing to say, it’s hard to disagree as the Knicks have been nothing short of awful – especially as of late.

It’s just one of many instances where Carmelo has unleashed a verbal wrath upon his teammates and the organization in recent weeks/months.

Is it just Carmelo venting? Or is there something more to it?

He could just be venting, but if I was a Knick fan I would get used to Melo, chastising the play of his teammates from now until the end of the season. Why??? Well if he sees next season as another disaster, like this one has been, and he wants to get out of New York, than what better tactic than to be seen by Knicks fans as a whiner. It will allow him to get away from his current team by having many Knicks fans say good riddance to Melo because he is not a team player. It will work and he will walk. To quote Barney Stinson. “Wait for it….”. Because if Melo doesn’t leave the Knicks, then he will Never be “Legend…ary”.
