It appears Carmelo Anthony‘s frustrations with the New York Knicks have hit another boiling point as the star forward ripped his team on Sunday evening.
After a drubbing at the hands of the Chicago Bulls, Melo lashed out, suggesting that the team lacks pride and the poor play is embarrassing.
"“Without a doubt, it’s embarrassing. It’s frustrating, embarrassing,’’ Anthony said. “Teams win and lose night in, night out, but just the way we’re not approaching the game with a winning attitude … I’m rambling right now, but it’s frustrating and I don’t like to be embarrassed like that.“At this point, there’s no answers to it. As a team, we got to have some sense of pride and just go out there and compete. It seems we’re not even competing right now. We have to do a much better job of just having a sense of pride.’’"
While it may not have been the most proper thing to say, it’s hard to disagree as the Knicks have been nothing short of awful – especially as of late.
It’s just one of many instances where Carmelo has unleashed a verbal wrath upon his teammates and the organization in recent weeks/months.
Is it just Carmelo venting? Or is there something more to it?
