One of the best players on the Cleveland Browns roster may not be a member of the Browns for much longer. While the team transitions into a new era (for now) with head coach Mike Pettine, the free agent market is welcoming the Browns best player in T.J. Ward and the speculation about where he’ll go is already mounting.

Ward will join Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Bryd as the top two players at their position on the open market, and one team has eyes set on both of them. According to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears will be looking at signing either Ward or Byrd if they come at the right price.

"The Bears could turn to Ward or Byrd, probably in that order, if the price fits their defensive overhaul. The Bears have not spoken with free agent Louis Delmas (formerly of the Lions), a team source said."

Chicago is in desperate need of some safety help, and Roman Harper’s name has been floated as well. With Delmas out of the running, it appears that the Bears will likely land either Bryd, Harper or Ward in free agency and their defense will be much better for it.
