There was an incriminating report that come out this week where former Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler, now with the Detroit Tigers, called general manager Jon Daniels a sleazeball. Kinsler responded in predictable fashion by saying the comments were taken out of context.

Well the interview was recorded by the author of the story, Robert Sanchez, who played the audio on Buster Olney’s podcast this week.

Here is a transcript of his comments, via the Dallas Morning News:

Kinsler: Nolan Ryan (expletive) gold here. And once the Rangers fall apart, he’s going to (expletive) gold even more. Because they kind of turned on him.

Sanchez: I know.

Kinsler: And people are kind of taking Jon Daniels’ side.

Sanchez: That doesn’t make any sense.

Kinsler: Jon (Daniels) is sleazy, man. He’s a sleazeball. He’s the only person I’ve ever talked to in my life where I walk away, and I’m, like, worrying about what I said. Like, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.’

Sanchez: Will it come back to…

Kinsler: How did he take that? How is he going to use that to his advantage? … The reason why (Nolan Ryan) is gone is because Jon Daniels got in good with the owners and straight pushed him out. Straight pushed (Nolan Ryan) out because of egos. Because (Jon Daniels) thinks all the things he should get credit for, Nolan Ryan gets credit for. It’s just ego. It’s egotistical. It’s people wanting credit for what they did, and they really don’t do anything.

Sanchez: Yeah.

Kinsler: Once we went to the World Series in 2010, everybody thought it was because of them. So everybody’s egos got huge, except for Nolan (Ryan). Nolan doesn’t care…

Sanchez: Nolan Ryan is Nolan Ryan.

Kinsler: (Nolan Ryan) does not care. He’s just enjoying and trying to take care of his employees.
