Brandon Browner suspended first four games of 2014

After Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner announced that he would be returning to the field in 2014, there were immediate reports that he would be facing league punishment at the beginning of the season as part of the agreement he made with the NFL.
Later on in the day, the NFL and the NFLPA released a joint statement saying that the punishment would span through the first four games of the upcoming season.
It was last season that Browner was suspended for the final five games of the regular season and the entire postseason for violating the league’s policy on substance abuse, but the good news is that his reinstatement will now allow him to participate in offseason workouts.
Browner will hit the free agent market next week, so teams will then begin to discuss whether or not he will be the risk of picking up knowing that he will be available to play later down the road.
