After signing veteran big man Jason Collins to a second-day contract, the Brooklyn Nets would like to sign another free agent to a 10-day contract to help fill out their roster.
According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Nets have to players in mind.
Brooklyn Nets, I'm told, planning another 10-day signing soon after working out Jorge Gutierrez and Darius Johnson-Odom this week

Don't forget Jorge Gutierrez, after helping Mexico to Cinderella triumph in FIBA America's tournament, was late training camp cut by Nets

Stein believes because Gutierrez was such a late cut, he holds the advantage.
Gutierrez went undrafted in 2012 after playing for the California Golden Bears. He wound up playing with the Denver Nuggets in summer league. After that didn’t work out, he had a quick stint in Mexico before joining the Canton Charge of the D-League. He returned to the Charge after the Nets cut him. He is averaging 13.9 points and 6.9 assists per game.
Johnson-Odom was the 55th overall pick of the 2012 out of Marquette. He played in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers last season and did not score. He is also in the D-League, playing for the Sprinfield Armour. Johnson-Odom is averaging 22.6 points and 6.0 assists per game.
