On Wednesday, reports began to surface that the Philadelphia Eagles may be getting close to cutting wide receiver DeSean Jackson, but it looks like the rumor had very little legitimacy. At least that is what the team wants us to believe.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News,  Jackson “isn’t close to being cut,” and the Eagles “aren’t actively shopping” him.

Anything stating that Jackson’s future with the team is in danger is “pure speculation.”

While Jackson may be a wild personality off of the field, he has been a productive player on the field and he appears to be a solid fit in Chip Kelly’s offense.

For now, you can relax and take a deep breath knowing Jackson is currently in the team’s future plans and the rumors hold very little weight.
