The Seattle Seahawks is preparing to hit free agency next week, where plenty of teams could show interest on the Super Bowl winner on the open market. While Tate could demand some attention as a No. 2 receiver for needy teams, his preference has always been to remain with the Seahawks.
While Tate wants to continue his career in Seattle, he is prepared for anything that can happen and believes the end result will be exactly what it should.
“It’s going to work out the way it should,” he said, via the Seattle Times. “Obviously I would like to be in Seattle, but the hard part is over.”
Tate is allowing his agent, Todd France, to handle most of the contract negotiations and admits that he hasn’t heard much information on that front. With that said, Tate said everything seems “pretty chill,” so he is handling the situation well and appears ready to take everything in stride.
