Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is still recovering from neck surgery after a scary injury that ended his 2013 regular season, but all signs have been pointing to the suggestion that he could be cleared for action in the near future.

According to Profootballtalk.com, the time for the pending free agent tight end to be medically cleared for his return “could be coming very soon.”

With Finley’s primary doctor and neurosurgeon returning from an out of the country trip at the end of this week, PFT reports that Finley’s camp is hoping to have him receive medical clearance by the start of the free agency period on Tuesday.

That would obviously be a best case scenario for Finley and allow teams to sign him with more confidence, but it would also not likely stop teams from putting him through their own vigorous medical evaluations.
