The New York Jets have been linked to free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders since the end of the regular season, and now it looks like they will be ramping up their pursuit of the Pittsburgh Steelers pass catcher.

New York was also linked to Philadelphia Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin, but since he re-signed in Philly the Jets are more likely than ever to pursue Sanders.

The Jets current wide receiving corp consists of Jeremy Kerley, David Nelson and Stephen Hill, so you can obviously see why they are looking to upgrade on the outside and add more weapons for Geno Smith.

Another team interested in Sanders is expected to be the New England Patriots, so the Jets would be able to add a quality receiver while taking away a top option for a division rival. That move would be a win-win.
