The Miami Dolphins need something to happen to turn their culture around and winning is a great place to start. But before the winning can happen, some new pieces need to be added to the team and that has many looking at this year’s free agent class for options.

Almando Salguero from the Miami Herald sifted through some names that the Dolphins may be interested in and noted hat Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman and free-agent-to-be Eugene Monroe is at the top of the list.

Per the Miami Herald:

"The names on the Dolphins radar are Eugene Monroe, Branden Albert, and possibly Anthony Collins.None of the three players is certain to become free agents because their have until Saturday to sign them before other teams can join in negotiations for their services. … If the three are available, it’s clear Monroe is Miami’s first choice."

Monroe can still re-sign with the Ravens and he’s not certainty to sign with the Dolphins should he hit free agency, but it’s clear Miami will pursue him.  The offensive line was not only terrible at protecting Ryan Tannehill in 2013 from defensive pressure, but they apparently spent most of their time bullying others in the locker room.

With Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito gone and Mike Pouncey on thin ice, adding a veteran like Monroe serves more purpose than simply protecting Tannehill on Sundays.
