The New York Giants had some issues with health at the running back position last season, so it comes as no surprise that they will be looking to bolster their depth in the backfieild this offseason.

According to the New York Daily News, the Giants are expected to target at least one running back once the free agent period begins.

There is also the possibility that they could add a player or two through the draft.

A few options that have been reported are Houston Texans backup Ben Tate and James Starks of the Green Bay Packers. Both players are well-rounded backs that can carry the load, but they spend the time on their current teams serving in the reserve role.

Either player would be a great addition to the Giants roster, but we would have to imagine Starks would be considered the favorite due to his familiarity with new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo from their time in Green Bay.
