UCF QB Blake Bortles has rapidly skyrocketed up a lot of people’s draft boards, leading some to believe that he could possibly be the first player taken by the Houston Texans come the NFL Draft this May. On Wednesday evening, Bortles appeared on Sirius XM Radio on the “Late Hits” show, and he let it be known that he already has visits lined up with the Texans, as well as another one of the teams near the top of the draft that are in the market for someone under center, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After an outstanding 2013 college football season in which he led the Knights to the Fiesta Bowl title, Bortles has become one of the more popular players in this year’s group. He had an outstanding workout at the NFL Scouting Combine, which only boosted his stock further.

If the Texans don’t take a chance with that first pick on Bortles–who would be a great project for new head coach Bill O’Brien–then you would have to think that the Jags would jump at the opportunity given their struggles with quarterback play lately.
