You can never have enough weapons, and that might be the mindset of both the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots as they get set for the 2014 NFL Draft.

According to NFL.com, representatives from both organizations were recently seen discussing a possible future role with Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis.

For both the Partiots and the Colts, Abbrederis should be a tremendous addition as either a no. 3 or no. 4 possession receiver. Either way, he would be able to utilize his talents with two of the best that play under center in the game today, Andrew Luck and Tom Brady.

We saw last season how much the loss of Reggie Wayne affected Luck, even with their limited playoff success. And from the Patriots’ end, the team reportedly was not happy whatsoever with the play of Danny Amendola after bringing him in, so there is a possibility that Abbrederis could plug that hole immediately.

In his four years at Wisconsin, Abbrederis was one of the most accomplished players in the program’s history, garnering himself a first-team All Big Ten selection twice.
