Going into the 2014 NFL Draft, a lot of hype is surrounding Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Mike Evans, and rightfully so. At 6-5 and 231 pounds, he recently turned a lot of heads with his impressive performance at the NFL Scouting Combine. He’s been so impressive, actually, that many people are now considering him almost a lock to be selected within the first 10 selections of the draft in May, and he realizes that as well.

"“I see it and I hear it,” Evans said. “That’s what I’m gunning for: a top-10 pick. So I’m trying to showcase my talents and make teams like me.”"

While other Texas A&M prospects worked out for NFL scouts on Wednesday, Evans and Johnny Manziel–his teammate and another projected top-10 pick–will have their own workout for teams on March 27, a workout which could all but solidify Evans as a lock for the top-10.

At the Combine, Evans was one of the more requested players to sit down with as he met with 20 teams during his week in Indianapolis.
