The Green Bay Packers are finalizing their plans for next week’s NFL Free Agency period and one of the most notable names they have to discuss is defensive tackle B.J. Raji. Many believed that Raji would be on his way out, but now there is a new report stating Raji is close to a return with the team.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Packers are close to re-signing Raji to a one-year contract.
Packers and B.J. Raji are close to completing a 1-year deal that will keep the DT in Green Bay and off the free-agent market, per sources.

Raji has been terribly inconsistent throughout his career and has never become the player that the Packers were hoping he could be when they made him a first-round pick back in 2009 with the No. 9 overall selection.
By giving Raji a one-year deal, it will giving the veteran a season to prove he is capable of rejuvenating his career and being a standout along the team’s defensive front.
If Raji re-signs, you can remove Louis Nix as a potential first-round target for Green Bay.
