News broke early on Friday morning that the New York Knicks have reportedly already reached out to legendary coach Phil Jackson about coaching the team beginning next season. Whether or not that can happen will be a tall order, but as the New York Daily News has learned, offering Jackson a front office position with the team as well may be just the ticket to bringing him to the Big Apple.

"According to a source, the Knicks would consider offering Jackson a front office position. Jackson has said he wants to run a team and would be intrigued by returning to the franchise where his playing career began."

This would certainly change the entire dynamic of the organization as it’s quickly falling apart, but as the report also pointed out, it could cause some unwanted problems with James Dolan, who has been known to butt in with his two cents every now and then.

However, the prospect of having Jackson come in and put everything back together may make Dolan realize that he needs to take a step back and let the Zen Master do his work.

With Jackson having said multiple times that he would like to run an organization, the prospects of this move actually coming to fruition seem a little brighter.
