There is much drama surrounding Ndamukong Suh and his future with the Detroit Lions and the drama has less to do with if he’ll stay or if he’ll go and more with how much he’ll be costing the Lions over future seasons. Suh isn’t believed to be going anywhere in free agency next season but he’s made a move to ensure that nothing gets gummed up in the process.

Suh has signed with CAA, who will be his new agency and represent him in contract talks with the Lions.

Sports fans hardly care about who their player sign with, but Lions fans may want to listen up to Suh’s latest move. CAA represents just about every powerful figure in both Hollywood and in sports, with a client list that reads like an Oscars call sheet.

This means that while Suh won’t be holding the Lions hostage in contract talks himself, his wolf of an agent will and that means a step price for the Lions. This isn’t all a bad thing though, as having another voice in the room may lead to a more reasonable price — albeit one on the very high end.
