The New Orleans Saints are currently flipping the couch cushions and tearing up the carpet to look for any sort of loose change they can throw at Jimmy Graham in a long-term deal, and part of that has meant cutting loose some staple veterans.

One such guy is Lance Moore, and he’s expected to receive attention in free agency — albeit not intense attention. The Baltimore Ravens are int he market for some receiver help, but ESPN Ravens blogger Jamison Hensley has shot down the notion that Moore could be a target for Baltimore.

Per ESPN.com:

"As Ozzie Newsome put it, the Ravens want a wide receiver who can convert third downs and make yards after the catch. Last season, Moore averaged 1.7 yards after the catch, the worst in the NFL. He doesn’t fit the Ravens’ profile."

This makes a lot of sense, as the Ravens could use Moore but his third down efficiency isn’t where it needs to be. There’s also the overlooked fact that his stats are much better inside a dome than they are on the road and Baltimore’s ice cold schedule late in the season may also render Moore ineffective in the offense.
