From the moment that he was released last week by the Denver Broncos, we knew that there would be a lot of suitors for the services of veteran cornerback Champ Bailey, and apparently, the Philadelphia Eagles are one of them, according to a report from the Star-Ledger.

"Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report is reporting that, according to sources, the Philadelphia Eagles are a possible landing spot for free agent cornerback Champ Bailey."

It’s been known as the Free Agency period approaches that the Eagles might be in the market for a defensive back to get some much needed help against the pass, which we saw last year they desperately need, and Bailey could more than certainly contribute in that area.

Also in the report, Eliot Shorr goes on to point out that, should they end up pulling the trigger on a signing like this, they would more than likely have Bailey start in the safety spot rather than corner. Bailey has already made it known that he would have no problem with moving over the top.
