The Oakland Raiders were looking to have a lot of bargaining power in free agency this year, but the increased in salary cap has hurt what was supposed to be a strength. Because of that it looks like wide receiver Jacoby Ford will hit the free-agent market.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

"[T]hey are first, with $64.9 million available under the salary cap. But the other team’s plates are bigger than expected, with the NFL announcing last week that the salary cap is up $10 million from last year, to $133 million.The extra $10 million hurts the Raiders’ chances of landing top-tier free agents, it would seem, as teams that were better than 8-24 the past two seasons can now get closer – close enough? – to Oakland’s offers.Former starters Darren McFadden and receiver Jacoby Ford will hit the free-agent market."
