There has been much speculation about where Carmelo Anthony will go in the summer when he can opt-out of his contract with the New York Knicks and become a free agent. But while there is a possibility of Melo leaving the Knicks, there are some saying he’s going to stay.

One of the more outlandish theories has LeBron James convincing Melo to stay in New York by going there himself in 2015. Sam Smith from Bulls.com has suggested as much but tries to help it make as much sense as possible.

Per Sam Smith:

"Carmelo Anthony is not going anywhere as a free agent this summer. That’s because next summer LeBron James is going to join him in New York. … And what better place for James to enhance his image, if that is even possible, by winning in New York, not only perhaps the world’s biggest media market, but where no one else—and not even Pat Riley—has been able to."

While it seems outlandish on the surface, LeBron restoring glory to the Knicks could make him even more legendary and iconic. It’s along shot of happening at the moment, but it’s one of the million scenarios we’ll have to inevitably consider moving forward.
