Teams around the league have begun reaching out to pending free agents as we approach the official start of free agency on Tuesday afternoon. One of the top available players at his position on the open market will be Cleveland Browns safety T.J. Ward, and it appears that a bidding war for his services could be brewing.

According to the National Football Post, “about a dozen NFL teams” have reached out to or shown interest in pursuing Ward.

The number of teams being reported in Ward appears to be agent speak, especially since the Detroit Lions are the only team that has specifically been mentioned as a potential suitor for Ward’s services.

We will get a better idea of just how hot Ward’s market has been when teams can begin signing free agents.
