The Arizona Cardinals have found interest in free agent offensive tackle Jared Veldheer, and that has had a direct effect on their supposed interest in Roger Saffold. While the team seemed to be very interested in Saffold earlier in the week, that interest has seemingly cooled and the team looks to be focusing on Veldheer.

Some thought that the Cardinals could pair Saffold and Branden Albert, as the team had interest in both this past week. But with Albert likely to sign in Miami this week when free agency opens, the Cardinals interest in signing Veldheer as a replacement will be their focus.

That doesn’t count Saffold out, as he can play guard and would still be an asset on the line, but it does make it less likely that he’ll be off the  market on Tuesday.
