It was reported late Sunday night that Phil Jackson would likely inform the New York Knicks of his decision to join to the franchise on Monday afternoon.

And while we haven’t received an official word yet, ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports that indications suggest Jackson will take the job.

It’s not known what job Jackson will take – be it an adviser, consultant or even possible team president – but just that a job will likely be accepted.

"League source: All indications are that Phil Jackson will accept NYK front-office job. Title not yet clear, but not coach or mere consultantSource: “the Knicks have a sense of what’s going to happen, & as of rt now, looks like Phil’s taking job….(con’t )(Con’t) “there’s always the possibility of something falling apart at last minute, but the Knicks’ sense is that he’s joining them.”"

Love how Broussard threw that last tidbit in there, just to potential save himself.

Of course, Jackson was a member of the Knicks during his playing days and likely has a special bond with the franchise thus the interest.

Earlier today, it was reported that Jackson wanted assurance that Carmelo Anthony would remain with the Knicks through free agency if he was to accept the job.
