NFL Rumors: Bears pushing hard for DE Lamarr Houston

The Bears seem to be moving quickly.

Now that the writing is on the wall about the Bears moving on from Julius Peppers, they need to find a replacement. According to reports, that replacement they are looking for is Raiders DE Lamarr Houston:

Houston is coming into his prime at 26 years old. Last year he had 69 total tackles and 6.0 sacks so he will be very sought after this offseason. Expect him to not stay on the market very long especially since their rival the Green Bay Packers are also said to be interested.

Greg, Not surprised the attention has turned to Houston. However, do we really believe the Raiders will let him walk? They have tons of cap money and I think they want the market to set the value, just like Emery is doing with Melton. In the end, it would not surprise me if he re-signs with OAK. I am more surprised that Tuck’s phone hasn’t been ringing! He is 30, put a good season together last year. A good signing then draft Ealy. Oh, the choices. http://beardownnation.blogspot.ca/
