Today there has been a lot of substantive news about NFL free agents as they find new teams, make visits, and entertain various contract offers. Then there has been the debates about Jared Allen‘s whereabouts: where is he now and where will he be this week?

Those expecting Allen to ink a deal in the early days of free agency will likely have to wait, as it sounds like a visit to his one primary suitor, the Denver Broncos, is not necessarily happening anytime soon.

Addressing reports that Allen was set to visit Denver, Mike Klis of the Denver Post shot them down in no uncertain terms.

Of course he could just visit them on Thursday and we’re back where we started, right? Having said that, Allen was also reported to be a man ready to take his time in free agency. It would also make sense, then, if he did not visit Denver or anywhere else trying to get a deal done during the initial flurry of free agency. Given the fluidity of his situation thus far, it all remains subject to change.
