The Memphis Grizzlies continue to climb up the ladder in the Western Conference.

Led by Marc Gasol, who scored a team-high 19 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out seven assists, the Grizzlies took down the Portland Trail Blazers 109-99 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee Tuesday night.

The win, coupled with the Phoenix Suns’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night, puts the Grizzlies a game ahead of the Suns for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Zach Randolph had a big game as well, finishing with 18 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.

Damian Lillard exploded for 32 points, seven assists and four rebounds,  but went just eight-of-21 from the field. Lillard made up for it by going 12-of-13 from the charity stripe.

In fact, both of the Blazers’ stars had poor shooting nights. LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, but shot just eight-of-23 from the field.

In the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies quickly extended a nine-point lead to 15 and never looked back.

The Grizzlies are now 37-26 and the Blazers are 42-22.
