Whomever signs Brandon Browner for the 2014 season will be without the cornerback for the first four games of the year as he’ll be suspended thanks to the NFL’s recent ruling.

One such team that has interest in Browner are the New York Jets, this according to the New York Daily News. However, despite the interest, it does not appear that a deal will get done.

"Source: Jets have expressed interest in reinstated cornerback Brandon Browner. At this point, it’s appears unlikely he ends up w/ #NYJ"

The Jets are the first team to show any public interest in Browner, so it’s a little odd as to why such an interest surfaced but why it’s already being effectively ended before it starts.

It’s possible it could be a leak from an agent attempting to drum up interest from a cornerback needy team (which the Jets are) or it’s possible the Jets do like Browner, but want him at a reduced rate.

Whatever the case, they do appear to have interest but it doesn’t seem like it will go anywhere.
