Despite all of the outside criticism, and there’s a lot of it, you can’t knock the confidence that Alabama QB AJ McCarron has in himself as the 2014 NFL Draft approaches, that’s for sure. Most recently, during Alabama’s Pro Day on Wednesday, McCarron was asked whether or not he’s the best signal caller in the group this year, and he didn’t pull any punches once again.

"“Why not? The rest of those guys feel like they’re the best,” he said. “It’s a mindset you have to carry in yourself. I feel like my play speaks for itself over the three years I started in the SEC. I definitely do.”"

He might not find many people outside of Tuscaloosa that agree with that sentiment, but that’s what he has in his mind nonetheless.

McCarron has come under scrutiny throughout this entire draft process since skipping the Senior Bowl, citing his record in college the past three years.

Although, you never know, McCarron may find a suitor that admires his confidence and take a chance on him.
