The New Orleans Saints have ended their relationship with Darren Sproles after trading him to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday morning. But before his trade out of New Orleans, things were starting to get ugly between Sproles, the Saints and the running back’s wife.

Sproles wife Michel took to Instagram to blast the team for the way they’ve been going about treating her husband in his final days as a Saint. After the work he put in, the hits he took and the snaps he gave up, Michel believed that Darren Sproles deserved better.

She’s not wrong either, as the number of messy divorces this offseason between teams and their star players have been plentiful. From Darrelle Revis and the Bucs to Steve Smith and the Panthers, there seems to be something wrong with the NFC South are their inability to properly let go.

Sproles is in Philadelphia now and both he and his wife can’t wait for the Eagles to disrupt the Saints season by use of Sproles’ skills.
