On Thursday afternoon, a report surfaced that cornerback Antonio Cromartie and the Arizona Cardinals had mutual interest in each other and the Cardinals were inviting Cromartie in for a visit.
Although it appeared as though Cromartie and the Cardinals were trying to get a feel for each other, things have gotten serious and the two sides are negotiating.
#azcardinals still negotiating with Ben Dogra, Cromartie's agent. Not as easy as some other deals.

Antonio Cromartie's trip carries over until Friday, when he's due to leave. Talks continue w/ @azcardinals. No idea if a deal gets done

It is interesting that the two sides will continue to negotiate into the night and shows that both sides are at least somewhat serious about getting a deal done.
Cromartie was originally drafted by the San Diego Chargers with the 19th overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft. After four years with the Chargers, he joined the New York Jets.
The Jets released Cromartie earlier this week.
Last season, Cromartie had 38 tackles and three interceptions.
