Long time safety Ryan Clark is currently looking for a new place to call home, he’ll be wearing a brand new uniform for the first time in eight years.

The 34 year old veteran has played in 161 games, 827 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and 15 interceptions in his career. It’ll be weird not seeing Clark lining up in the secondary for Pittsburgh, but we all know that this league is nothing but a business.

Not everybody is promised to stay with one team for the rest of their career, which is a little depressing when fans get attached to certain players.

Now according to Joseph Person on Twitter, the Carolina Panthers have spoken to Clark.

Clark recently met with the Washington Redskins but nothing came out of that visit. It’s also worth noting that the Steelers signed former Carolina Panthers safety Mike Mitchell, who will be taking Ryan’s spot on the depth chart.
