After losing DeMarcus Ware to the Denver Broncos, as well as losing out on the Julius Peppers sweepstakes to the Green Bay Packers, the Dallas Cowboys are searching for a serious pass-rushing threat off the edge. Luckily for them, free agent Jared Allen is still out there on the market. And while it was reported on Sunday that he met with the Seattle Seahawks, Pro Football Talk is reporting that a visit with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys will be up next.

"A source with knowledge of Allen’s visit to Seattle suggests that the next team Allen visits could be the Cowboys."

While the Cowboys still might be able to land Henry Melton, that too is looking more unlikely by the day, so they might want to make a serious push to get Allen into Arlington.

Right now, a lot of Cowboys fans are growing restless at the lack of productivity during the free agency period by the team, and the signing of a dangerous pass rusher like Allen may calm that a little bit.
