Last season as a whole for the Jacksonville Jaguars wasn’t exactly as bad as it seems. It was really a tale of two halves. The first half of the season was terrible, with the Jags never finding a victory and the team getting blown out on several occasions.

But the second half of the season did offer a little hope to Jacksonville fans. The team finished the year 4-4, which included a 29-27 victory over the Tennessee Titans after the bye in Week 10.

According to John Oehser, senior writer for Jaguars.com, the team’s free agency crop should also be offering some hope to their fans.

"Fans of this team should like the free-agent signings very much. They represent an upgrade. They represent the Jaguars getting deeper on the defensive line and moving toward where they want to go on the offensive line. They also represent the team overall having more quality players, which will allow the Jaguars to draft for talent rather than immediate need in May. Overall, they represent a very positive step."

So far the Jags have signed Zane Beadles, Ziggy Hood, Chris Clemons, Toby Gerhart and Red Bryant. The team also re-signed Jason Babin.
