There have been a couple players that have caused fans of the Chicago Bears and Cubs to pull out their hair for about as long as they’ve been on both rosters.

With the Chicago Cubs, fellow fans had to deal with right handed reliever Carlos Marmol. Marmol had a thing for either hitting a batter with his out of control slider or walking the bases loaded when the team had the lead during the late innings. Then you have J’Marcus Webb.

Webb was almost always beaten off the snap by defenders and had some trouble keeping his assignment from putting pressure on starting quarterback Jay Cutler. It got so bad in Chicago for Webb, that Cutler ended up shoving him during a game against the Green Bay Packers.

All I could say is, he’s lucky that Olin Kruetz wasn’t still an active player and on the roster. Now that Webb is out of Chicago and didn’t last in Minnesota, he could be on his way to the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to Adam Caplan on Twitter, the Chiefs hosted the 25 year old free agent offensive tackle sometime this past week.

All Webb could do is provide the team with a little bit of depth, but I’m not sure if you want him protecting your starting quarterback. Especially if you’re already prepared for a post-season run like this team was last year.
